We had some time to kill before our beach excursion so we did some shopping in town.
The Antiguan Navy?
Kenny's ready to head to the beach.
Unfortunately, our excursion was cancelled due to wind and rain so we're back on board.
Their excursion did not get cancelled.
Here comes more rain.
We've got some time to kill so I take some photos of the ship. This is the Reflections Lounge near the bow of the ship.
We spent quite a bit of time in these seats since the Captain's Club Elite Member Happy Hour was held here every day.
The view out the windows.
There was a nice view of the town from the top deck. The rain has stopped, but it is still windy.
As evidenced by Carnival Freedom's flag.
Carnival Water Slide.
The Cathedral of St. John the Devine dates from 1683, but the current structure was built in 1834 after an earthquake damaged the original.
We arrive at Castries, St. Lucia on Thursday morning to the sight of more rain clouds.
Our excursion was scheduled to depart at 11 a.m. so we just took in the sites from the ship for awhile. Piton is a locally brewed beer.
There were lots of locals out and about near the cruise ship dock.
There were some colorful houses up in the hills above town.
Nice views from this one I bet.
We eventually made it to Ocean Liners for breakfast with the rest of the Captain's Club Elite members.
We had a table next to a window where we could watch passengers gathering for their excursions.
We took a detour through the casino on the way back to our cabin.

Carnival Victory is docked at the Point Seraphine Cruise Ship Terminal across the harbour.
The wet decks are evidence of the rain that has been falling off and on all morning.
A little rain is no problem for this group.
Nice view of the harbour.
Colorful boats at the ready.
The tugs appear to be done for the morning.
Another view of Carnival Victory.
A little perspective.
There was a Burger King not far from where we were docked.
What do you suppose Joe Knows?
It is still raining lightly. As a result, our beach excursion was cancelled. We're apparently not meant to go to the beach this trip.
We did not want to spend another day on the ship so we booked another excursion - a tram ride in the rainforest canopy.
Seemed like a good thing to do on a rainy day in paradise.
A guide rode at the back of each gondola and provided a narrative during the ride.
Off we go.
The views of the forrest were fabulous.
We passed over a couple of streams.
There were lots of different types of plants. My favorites were the ferns.
We're really getting up there.
On the way back we actually go above the canopy for a while.
Where we had views of the coast in the distance.
More interesting flora.
That was fun. As you may have guessed, it started raining again before we finished.
