I've never seen lifeboats that were not orange before.
I'm back in the cabin and spot this nice yacht leaving Philipsburg.
We stop for a quick breakfast at the buffet before heading out.
We had some time to kill so Sheila decided to chill out by the pool for a few minutes after breakfast.
We then went up top to take in the sites.
We're off the ship and headed into Phillipsburg.
Nice shot of Epic underneath Constellation's bow.
Posing on the pier.
Goofy touching up the Magic's paint job.
We've arrived and are ready to shop.
Looking back towards the ships.
Sheila checks out some of the vendor stalls. Looks like she's found a hat.
After a bit of shopping we head back to the ship.
We're we wait for excursion to start.
Finally time to go. We're just waiting on the van.
We booked the Rhino Rhider excursion. Here one of the guides gets folks set up in their boats.
Off we go.
We cruised by this wreck in Simpson Bay Lagoon.
We ended up at Happy Beach on the northwest shore of the island. We tied the boats up about 75 feet from shore. I decided to swim to the beach. That's me in the middle of the photo.
I made it.
Sheila decided to hang out with the guides back on the boats.
We hung out at the beach for about 30 minutes and then started back towards Simpson Bay Lagoon.
We pass under a draw bridge as we enter Simpson Bay Lagoon.
Our guide provides some final instruction after we re-enter Simpson Bay Lagoon.
That was fun, but it is time to head back to the ship.
One last look at all the yachts in Simpson Bay Lagoon.
Headed back to the ship.
We caught a view of the ship from the van on the drive back.
Once we are back on board we climb the stairs to deck 5 where we stop for gelato. That's Sheila in the pink shirt. Stopping for gelato after a day in port became our normal routine.
After gelato, we stopped to listen to the Inspiration Strings - a string quartet made up of four lovely girls from the Ukraine - for a few minutes before heading back to our cabin to clean up.
On the way to the aft stairs this view caught my eye.
We pass by the Bistro on Five Creperie. We ate their several times during the cruise.
And then walk through Cellar Masters Wine Bar - it was one of our regular hangouts in the evenings.
Back in our cabin and enjoying the view.
Sheila agrees that the cruise is off to a great start.
Enjoying our spacious balcony while we wait for sail-away.
And we're off. Next stop - St. John's Antigua.
So long Mickey.
Leaving Philipsburg. This was our third time here and it is one of our favorite ports.
We wake up on Wednesday morning and find ourselves in St. John's Harbour.
We're being followed by several Frigate Birds.
A local dock worker patiently waits for Constellation to let our her lines.
A frigate bird passes overhead.
A rainbow portends things to come.
A lone tanker is anchored at the entrance to the harbour.
There go the lines.
Ship secure. Time to head ashore. That's the Carnival Freedom next to us.
